Strange lump/possibly thickening of slime coat/fungus on my sterbai cory

Yep sounds like a good plan, if you got some melafix around I'd add some too. I put in 1/2 doses during WCs for prevention and for the smell haha. Makes my tanks smell good, and since all 3, 10 30 70 are all in a 18x7 foot room it helps manage that aquarium smell

Ah ok, that's a good idea :) the smell really is good :) will my weather loaches be ok with it? As they're scaleless

As far as I know yes, I've never kept loaches like that (had some hill streams once) but I've never had issues w/ melafix. I know of a story where a guy blinded his gar after putting in triple the dose accidentally haha

I'll make sure to quadruple check the dosage then! Non blind weather loaches cause enough chaos as it is!
