I recently received a flowerhorn from a friend as it was getting severly beaten up in his tank. it has been in my tank for about a week and has developed these large white lumps/spots all over its face.

can anyone shed any light on what these can be as i cant find anything online.

i have treated with an anti internal bacteria medication as directed by my LFS and i have dosed with aquarium salt.

the picture is from Saturday i will try and take another one tonight.

Anyone have any idea.... i will try and get better pictures tonight to help identification.

the lumps start of small and red and then seem to get bigger and white.

puberty can be tough with acne. No idea, I have a convict with little white bumps, he seems OK with them, no one else in the tank has any...

I have to admit, I don't watch my fish poop. I have been half tempted to catch him and inspect it closer. With my rock work, that isn't happening. So, I wait and see.

sounds like hexamita, should probably put him in hospital tank and add salt and increase temperature. If your able to get any metrodiznale(Sp) that would help
