  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hes in a mixed tank, some american cichlids, a few madagascans and a bunch of dither characins. I don't find him to be a problem at all. he is very friendly and gets along with everything. he sometimes chases my smallest vieja but everyone does that so its hardly a unique behaviour.

Nice!! Those fish are some badass piscovores

funnily enough I didn't know they existed til I saw them for sale but they are fast becoming my favourite african cichlid too.
I've had the fish since october and only just named the fish recently.

He/she is called ψαρι (Psari) which is greek for fish. i know its not a very original name but the fish has a very mythical look and he has a strong presence throughout the tank.

Hopefully you have a male as they are not easy to sex at this size and age.If it is a male,it's fins will grow longer and it will have a more intense blue as it ages....., then you will really see some presence.

Yeah people on here said it looks female, but one guy told me that his didnt actually turn male colouration til it hit the 7-8" mark. and this was the only one in the tank with blue on his face so my bets are its going to turn out male. it has a blueish overall face with a yellow tone body which looks promising to me
