If your GFI trips it's because you have an electrical problem. Heaters and filters that leak current don't heal themselves. Assuming you survive the ocaisional shock, the appliance will eventually fail and possibly short out your breaker and maybe kill power to your whole fish room or the entire house while you're asleep or away from home.

Better re-think that one dude!

Stop telling people this.. It's not true.

Stray voltage does in fact cause harm to fish.

don't really need it right noe anyway will get a new one when it starts cooling down again any recomendation on a heater whats a bad ass heater that won't cause issues? i was useing 2 300 watt marineland heaters
