what ever u do... dont change the sand and disconnect ur old filters the same day you hook up the new fx5 remember ur bio media is all in ur existing filters and in the sand

Agreed^^ When I said transferred filtration I meant I put their original/existing filtration on their new setup.

I recently moved my 3 pups from one setup to another. I put them in a
cooler for about 1-2 hours while I moved/transferred other fish and
transferred filtrations.
After I put them back they buried themselves for about an hour or so
then they came out and started exploring.
Yours are probably just stressed from all the commotion in the tank.

Maybe it wouldn't hurt to let them settle down and see if they start
coming out more and make sure they are OK. Usually they are stressed
or spooked when they stay buried that much.

yah they seem to really have a problem with the sand it sticks to them and they start to have seizures and fly around flicking it off them selves.

im still gonna use my old filter, i just wanna know when the rays would be ready for the change. if their ready... their eating but they don't move around as much as last week.
