I will be moving soon So I cant set up any tanks right now. I will try and find something I can use as a divider.

My female is doing a lot better so far. She even dug out the pot thats in there. I will be moving sooner than I thought so they will get a 55 gallon with a pair of small Firemouths in 4 - 6 weeks. If the male starts to beat on her too bad again I will be dividing the tank with netting.
