It is a powder form. It has barley straw and different types of BB in it. The SAB is a bacteria that breaks down the string algae and other debris (leaf litter mostly) in the pond. As organic matter, the string algae, detaches from the rocks and sides, it settles in the bottom. One can remove most of it then, the bacteria helps w/the rest.
