8 rays and I feed about 35.00-40.00 a month. It all depends on where you buy your food and if you buy in bulk.

My 8 rays and other fish cost me about 40$ a month(foodvice), i cant understand how everyone get their foodbill so high. In this there is 5 fullgrown rays, 2 hystrix rays, 1 pup ray, 2 60cm silver arrows +++++ main diet is Pollock and discus bits!

Good question is how many pounds of food do you feed a month??

I feed probably about 20 days out of the month. So not everyday but more then every other day. Talapia is the main dish.

Talapia (Walmart) $2.50 per pound. 4lb bag
Shrimp (asian market) $3.00 per pound. 4lb box
Frozen sea food mix (Sam's Club) $2.50 per pound. 5lb bag

Couple bags of talapia a month, a box of shrimp and some of the other filler to add nutrition,

Then I do add a little bit of nls and massivore for added nutrition because I think its good for them.

If someone would please give thought and idea about this question ill be watching and waiting, appreciate it very much.
Very good question for all what do you think about the nutrition of just shrimp, talapia , squid, octopus, mussels, ?? Pellet food does have allot in it but would just this food be enough for everyone? Maybe ill start a thread about it.

Any chance you can share what you use?

I hear ya, I use to feed allot more, I will say I have only been feeding this way for about 2 months now, all rays seem very fat and happy still, I guess ever since I visited the local aquarium and they were saying that with all the feeding they were doing they found allot of fat on the fish when they would do a biopsy after death, and attributed it to over feeding, I do want to feed every other day for a good while and see how it is but I have a hard time doing so when some fish im trying to feed that are picky or im training to other food.

Oh I just feed my rays way more then...
