I have 4 striped raphael catfish and I actually see them a few times a day. They’ll randomly swim out of their pvc pipes, swim around a bit, then head back. The others are correct about the sizes so I won’t bother with that.

Have a striped raphael in my mothers tank. It is very difficult to see it without coaxing with food when the lights go off. Might become more active if you tried to limit the cover it has and had it adapt to the tank lighting, tho I wouldn't do it knowing the one we have.
Personally I would recommend Hoplos instead, very active and enjoyable catfish to watch, they've outshone my ancient pearl gouramis now.
