Striped Raphael Catfish

Anyone own a Striped Raphael Catfish?
im looking into buying one soon, as much info as possible would be appreciated, thankyou

I had one some time ago.
They are very nice, but are noturnal and hide during the day.
Although well fed, mine grew very slowly.

cheers, what sort of size was it and how long did it take to grow roughly?

They grow very slowly I have had mine for about 5 or 6 years now and he is not even 8".

what size tank you have?.. red tail grow fairly fast, but u need a huge tank or pond for them.

It must have been about 15cm when I got rid of it.
Had it for about 5 years and it must have been about half that size when I first got it.

Hoplos are very nice and grow quite fast.

Also Pims are quite fast growing. There are various species and colour forms.
Though I am not all that keen on these - personal choice really.

How big is yor tank?

tank is about 60 gal

Get yourself some pictus catfish. Very active and don't get too big.
