Striped Raphael Catfish

I like my Raphael. Sometimes you won't see him for a while but he gets on his kicks where he comes out and eats every morning.

Nice rapheal. Hope mine get close if not the same size as yours. How old is he?

Almost. He seems like he could take off a finger between his pectoral fin and body when he clamps down.

I've had him eleven years.
 
got 1 about half that size, its more active as it gets bigger
 
We just got a striped raphael catfish and i LOVE him! he doesn't really hide at least not yet, we have 2 synodontis as well ( a spotted and a jaguar) and they share an archway but there is piping but the raphael stays out by the bubbler!

here he is (we named him Bowser because of the spikes down his side)

just got him yesterday hes about 5.5 or 6 inches

there wicked lil guys i have 4 big ones(5"- 8") and i only had 1 for a long time and now thta i got him some friends arounf the same size there out alot now, ive heard they do better in groups

mine is just starting to come out more during the day.:)
 
lol ya hes a cute little thing thats the first day we got him now he only comes out early in the morn when we feed them and when the lights go off at night- for the most part the driftwood is his cave he rarely comes out of
