To the best of my knowledge and according to Bob Clark, the parents of my Dwarf Gen Stripes are wild-caught, dwarf striped animals imported by Bob himself - this is not a man-made "morph". The dwarf gene and the striped gene are both simultaneously naturally present in individuals in that particular wild, insular population. It's a different 'dwarf gene than the other "Jampea dwarf" which has been bred for some time now.
Not all striping in reticulated pythons is genetic - usually it's just an aberration of pattern and not heritable. However, in the case of the true dwarf genetic striped animals, it has been proven to be a true recessive gene. It is now being bred into many other "morphs" of retics and there are some really spectacular animals being created...
Cheers!
