looks like a hungry arowana, trying to avoid being touched but still hoping for food.

It can be true But even it is, it looks like good "friendship"...

I will never do like that with my Black they are much more wild...

Actually, there are quite a few that do, but silver arowanas are usually not one of them.

I will pet mine 2-3 times when I clean the tank just when he swims by but thats about it.

I have had him even jump at me countless times as soon as I am about to stick my hand in the water. I now wait until he is at the other side of the tank when I stick my hand in because at first glimpse he always thinks my finger are food...
