Stuck on choosing a skimmer =0

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Not saying that you are an idiot...just that this skimmer could be run by one with the results of any of the high end skimmers, many of which will cost you more money.

i've decided to get the Aqua C hang on.
i dont need a big skimmer on the tank cause im not keeping much, its gonna be a lil bare.
i do have lids on the display and there is plenty of current in the tank and enough for gas exchange.
Im not gonna bother cutting a hole in one of the lids for the sump, takes too much of my time and i find it much easier to have a hang on.

one question is, will the Aqua C's collection cup be big enough, if im away for a few days =/ i know that the amount it pulls depends on what i have in the tank.
i'd really like to know how big the collection cup is

Collection cup is large, plus it has a drain outlet you can hook up with a hose to a bucket for 5g of waste or however big your bucket is.

I dont think you will be displeased. Make sure to come back and review your experience with everyone after using it for awhile.

Octopus is by far a better skimmer you will be able to adjust the cup to collect more or less water, don't worry about the collection cup. I have heard only good things about the BH2000 but I would probably get the cone (BH1000).
