Studio Shoot: The 200gal Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Fantastic work. They look great.

If you really want critique then, I'll offer one suggestion. Shadowed photos with a black background look very striking, but I think that real mastery of animal photography lies in achieving the best background behind them in very soft focus to compliment the colour or position of the subject.

awesome shots.... i see a couple that should go to POTM...

really only first, ~third~ and fourth work for me. i agree, y'should use two strobes a little higher than what you did here.

i like how the ornate looks like a gar. fourth photo. haha.

Wow!! Personally I think you need a lot more practice. This set of pics is so lacking in quality. We would appreciate it if you would no longer post any more pics as you are making the rest of us look bad

You use an L series Glass gal or no...

They are excellent shots and nicer than anything I can produce-
The 2 strobes I believe will give a better affect....Could certainly be wrong though...

The first shot I love-But would like the hot spot of the lighting to be fixed...
Some of the shadows is great-And acouple are just not working for me....
But overall like I said-Better than I can do...

Great round of shots Gal-Once again..

Using the Canon 70-300mm USM IS

I'll be trying 2 strobes today and will see how it turns out, and thanks :D

AK, im going to say no on the red ringed lens'... but we shall see. Im interested...

Amazing depth! Phenominal, i enjoy viewing your shots bc it seems everytime you get a little better, or pick up on something new.. you can tell.

Nice.

Not a red ring lens, but an awesome lens nonetheless
and thanks :headbang2 won't get anything but better, I have a long way to go I'm still only 16

I think they're awesome pics!! You want real critique??? Go post them on our sister site Aquatic Photography ;)

They will let you know what needs improvement!! Seriously ;) You will get mainly good reviews here and likely not the critique you are looking for.. But over there... :D

Hey I love the critique I got on here
Thanks :D
