stung by a Monster Jelly

I've been stung before and it's not a pretty thing. But then again, no monster jelly got me, more like a feeder sized jelly. Still hurt like hell.
 
wow.. jellyfish sting are no joke. glad your o.k. and recovering.. feel better.
 
thanks for all the well wishes guys... its doesnt hurt anymore...my bf peed on it and we did the vinegar thing and it really didnt make it stp hurting. im sure it does something to the poison that is still on you. but after the sting it hurt the rest of the day and was really sensitive the next day. even after the shot of demerol i could still feel the burn...im hoping it doesnt scar the dr said that it will take a long time for the marks to go away but it could possibly scar.
 
That looks painful!!! I've been stung by a small one before, bad times.

Looks very much like a nettle stung you by the looks of the sting marks (very nice display of how their tentacles are structured).
 
i got stung by a sea nettle on the lips and right ear while snorkeling. the mask probly saved my eyes and the snorkel helped cover my left ear.... my face went into the base of the stingers! someone asked if i peed on it and i sayed HELL NO! but the lips are the most concentrated area of nerve endings... my lips swole and blistered in minutes. when i put meat tenderizer on it like suggested it got into a popped blister and felt just as bad as the sting its self!
 
Ouch!! that looks so painful,ive never seen one cover such a large area must have been a monster.glad to see your getting better.
