STUNG BY MY MOTORO!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
20 and 18, the 20 year old is at college, but the 18 year old is in high school, and his friends are always over here and they are interested in my fish.

If he can type that much, it's not that bad. From the picture, it looks like a through-and-through. Are you left handed Gonnelro?

Dude your brother is 18...old enough to be responsible for his own actions...KEEP the ray!
Don't forget, he's 24..:naughty: Accident does happen ;)

Right, accidents do happen. Its different when a person is old enough to be responsible for said accident such as an 18 year old then a five year old who wouldnt be.

If your 18 year old brother is too thickheaded and gets stung for being stupid, its his fault not yours, and that is why you should keep the ray! Again, if he was a young kid then it would be different but he is not!

I agree, I would love to keep it, however, as I said I live in my parent house, and Im not going to keep it against my fathers wishes, especially because hes helped me a lot since I dediced to go to grad school by letting me live here and he helps me out with money and stuff until I get out of school. I really want to keep it, but he wants to get rid of it, and I feel like a jerk arguing with him about keeping it in his house. Gonna have to sell it. And yea, the wound is not that bad, I am a lefty, my thumb is swollen and is sore, but not that bad. I mean I can type without a problem (dont use my left thumb), but I cant really grip anything as my left thumb is really sore. The worst part was the pain shooting up my arm after it happened which lasted until after they removed the barb. And yea, my brother would be responsible, but what if one of his idiot friends got stung and was allergic. Honestly, it would never happen, but Im gonna have to wait until I get my own place to keep rays, because my father doesnt feel comforable with it. Sucks, but what can you do

Perhaps you could find a local member to take care of it and hold it for you until you are ready to house it again???

I hope my daughter turns out as good and listens to her father as you do!

Brings up an interesting point of liability. Id be pissed if some one came to my house and against my instructions put their hand in my tank and got stung by my rays. I bet theyd sue and win! :irked:

Yea, if they were allergic, youd have a serious problem. I think my father is more concerned for their health though, trust me, hes a worrywart. And yea, I just feel like I owe him, hes done a lot for me in my life, I wouldnt be where I am (which is somewhere happy) without him. And yea, I want to pass this ray onto an MFK member. If anyone is willing to hold on to it for a year and a half or two years until I can afford to get a monster tank, that would be great! I have one question though actually: this is my first ray. When I get more rays, can I put a full size in with the pups? I mean, its a female, and the only time Ive heard problems of larger rays bothering pups was the male right after birth, and the consensus seems that thats because of the feramone the female gives off after birth drives the males crazy, and maybe some is left on the pups and thats why they bite them. Anyways, if I did find someone who was willing to hold on to her for a year or two, could I put her in my new tank with other 4-5" rays? I mean by then shes gonna be huge...
