Hi,
when i try to transfer a ray yesterday, accidentally got stung when packing them into plastic beg. about near 1" stung into my hand, the sting action is like scorpion sting, the ray that stung me is about 30cm. although i press out the blood immediate and also dip my hand into hot water, still suffer extreme pain for about 3 hours. but pain did not spread to upper hand like other people describe. only pain around the place got stung. anyway.... was happy after 3 hours when looking them swimming in my tank. they are innocent. hehe.......
some reference of what i do after get stung :
1. press the hand immediate to prevent blood flow to other part of body.
2. try to squeeze out the blood as much as possible
3. use a cloth to tie up the elbow part, to prevent blood circulation to other part of body.
4. dip the part got stung into hot water for 20 minutes, as hot as you can stand. ;-)
5. after this, untie the cloth.
th pain will last 2-3 hours after this.
