i have not been stung ! sorry for the title
but im wondering if anyone has ???? i have read in many books what you should do if it happens but has anyone actually had a freshwater ray sting them ? and if so what was done. and pain ect.

thanx

Been stung a couple times during tank tranfers. Hurts quite a bit, not intolerable though. Keep wound in hot water as hot as you can take to kill the protein venom, then into cold water to stop the bleeding if you are bleeding. Then go straight to the hospital. If part of a stinger breaks off and is stuck under the skin, DONT TRY TO GET IT OUT. Even if you dont think there is anything left inside the wound, seek medical attention in case part of the sheath is still in there.

you had me thinking that we would be seeing pictures

I have not but i heard it is realllllllly painfull
