some people say "PEE ON IT" but,,,,,,, I think some people are just looking for a good reason to pee on things!
Man, i have got to read more before i quote, all i read on this subject was the first copule quotes people gave. i didnt realize this was 8 pages worth. I really hope he is doing okay! bee stings can carry that same kind of bacteria on their stingers. thats how i got it. the wound didnt heal up for weeks and burned with sharp pains constantly. the main thing i had to do was keep it clean and sterile. Dont pee on it!

Wow, hope to hear a respond from the OP soon... and with good news?!! Keep us updated with any news please.

Buddy of mine got stung by a leo a few years back. He a Big dude... said the pain was worse than his motorcycle accident!! Leo's tail came over the top to sting him. not a lashing from the side. :uhoh:

guys he's still alive last activity was 7-31-2013 but it has been almost a month since he was last on i hope your doing well bro where ever you are

maybe his o/h made him get rid of the ray and he found no reason to post anymore.

hope to hear what happend but its possible he wont be back.

i doubt the sting was a real problem but MRSA is nothing to be messed with and shows as i got tested for MRSA 3 Times in 3 months just because of minor issues that i had to go to the hospital for.

hope the op is well but i hope this doesnt give rays a bad name at the same time because a ray sting is COMPLETELY different to MRSA nd is not necessarily related.

the op is probably in the process of suing the hospital due to contracting MRSA from a visit for what should be a minor problem (the ray sting ) and therefore it would not be a good idea to talk about it on forums or anywhere else :o

good luck to the op regardless and i hope hes well and well recovered.

Actually MRSA is carried by about 1% of the population. It also can be contracted by just touching another person, in your own home, a store, any place. It could have been contracted through the wound from the sting right in his own home, his car or even from
his own hands.

The CDC reports that in 2007, 14% of people with MRSA infections contracted them outside of a health care setting. Its called community-associated MRSA, or CA-MRSA.

There fore it is very difficult to prove where one contracts this. I speak from watching a family member who contracted it. She had 10 surgeries on the wound, 2 skin graphs an intravenous IV straight into her heart with the strongest antibiotic they had, at home no less for over a month. She also spent 3 days a week in a hyperbaric chamber for over a month to help the skin graphs take. The 2nd skin graph finally took but 15 yrs later she has nerve damage from all the surgeries and the wound actually burst open if she bumps her ankle into anything.
This all occurred after having surgery to repair a ligament in her ankle that was damaged 5yrs before. She would much prefer to have lived with the bad ligament to this day.

Lawsuit or money is the least of the persons worries if he contracts it to the above severity. He was on last night I hope he doesn't have to go through anything like my family member did.

Wish you the best OP..............
