Thanks for posting that. Their mating behavior is really weird/interesting. It makes you wonder how that behavior evolved? It's not like two slugs just got together one day, chatted it up and said this would be cool... I'm really curious about the steps that have resulted in the behavior we see here. Good find.

Maybe it's so it's easier to untangle when they are suspended like that, as the organs are so long and have to entwine so much. If they can't untangle (apparently not uncommon), apophallation occurs. Probably not something anyone want's to happen.
