wow richard...these fish amaze me more n mroe each day. i'll continue updating this guy, i hav several ponds he can go to when he's too big for me anyways.

Nice shots! Sucks if it is stunted but I think it'll have it's growth spurt soon. I thought mine was stunted as well until I actually measured it. It eats alot as well and it has grown from 17" to 18.5" in 1.5 months since I've got him. Kind of slow growth rate to me for the amount of food I feed it but it sure has put some girth on. I feed it 3 times a week, about either 8-10 lake smelts or 6-8 full market prawns per 1 serving. Water changes of 50% twice a week. They seem like they don't have the crazy growth rates like RTC's do.

Alex... It is not stunted just because it has been at that size for this short amount of time.. The sucker can come right back in no time at all to regular expected size. I have seen quite a few do this.

Current one I have I thought for sure was a true Bonsai gator. Stayed about 10 inches for two years. Yeah well now it is 2 1/2 feet long and it eats Florida gars that surpassed it's growth just a year earlier. It bumped up in just about a year.
