thats cool, Ive never been pissed at a member!! I understand fish of the same specie may grow at different rates, what I was sating that 2 fish from the same parents and batch grew at such different rates due to extreme differences in care
I sold one of his brothers 5 months ago, he was 8' !!! Just shows that my heavy feeding of quality food, 3-4 30% weekly waterchanges, and tank size are helping. Gues Ive got my work cut out
Over feeding isn't good for them in the long run.Festae are naturally slow growers. My female is just over a yr old and 5"&male is a little over 2 yrs & 8".I have them seperated now so I can grow them out some
I see no reason why he won't get close, possibly even reach the expected adult size. Most consider this species growth to be a little more than half an inch monthly, so being only one year, he should have plenty more in store.
As we all know, water quality is gold in this hobby. Keep the fresh stuff flowing and he'll pump up in short order.
i bought one about two months ago hes a male and when i got him he was about two inches and now hes like 3 to 3.5. there were two festae at the lfs when i got him and the other one was a male too, and about the same size. but that one has not been sold yet and mine is growing much faster than the one at the lfs. and mine in a 29 by his own danm self
