You guys crack me up lol. I have piranhas, you think they wanted pellets too? You do what's best for your fish, and if you can't provide it anything but FEEDERS Atleast breed your own cons and gut load them!

I'm just trying to offer advice and spread the word you DO NOT need feeders, a lot of people think their essential, which, yes some fish can benefit from them, But for being almost 2 years and not growing past an inch is very obvious.

If you like watching your fish eat live fish then good for you...I like watching mine eat pellets/fillets and knowing their have the best diet possible atm!......

I wasn't targeting you guys, it was prevention, get your fish on a healthy diet early, you'll be doing them a favor, IME its easiest when you start from the day you get them, unless their babies.

this thread is not about pellets vs feeders, but about trying to get the OP's fish to eat and hopefully grow. lol

Wasting time on this thread as the OP doesn't care about it clearly. But I have to respond to it one more time.

F1, you have a reading problem, maybe from shaking head too much lol? I say it again, the fish does NOT eat pellets. You can feed it all you want but the fish won't eat it. So what are you going to do...keep dumping in pellets? The good pellet theory doesn't always apply to every situation. And you just don't go to every thread and say feed your fish pellets.

I don't see any flame going your way in this thread.

I think what F1 is trying to say is that it's our responsibility as fish keepers to feed our fish what's best for them. If you need to starve your fish for 2 weeks to get it to eat pellets or shrimp, then that's what you have to do and the fish will be healthier in the long run. Bloodworms are garbage (which is what the op is feeding). I'd rather give my fish a cheeseburger.

Ok flakes then, your missing the point, its hasn't grown because of te diet. How hard it that for you to understand...? I'm suggesting a better diet, kill me!

Quit trolling me. Thx!

Strollo, thank you for confirming! Either way this is a waste of time...

Hardly doubt the tank size was the problem. Should've been able to at get @ least 2" in that tank. A friend of mine had two 2" AT's in a 55gal. 2yrs later, they've only grown half an inch. It was the diet!!! I gave him my opinion on diet, brine then pellets, but he stuck with feeder guppies, once a week. So 1/2" in 2yrs, yeah worked out great lol...
