true, there are only a few things that can go wrong with an AC, since all there is one metal shaft and an impeller that spins via magnetic force around it.
it would be really rare for it to be a motor problem, because that means that there is an electrical problem that is not very common.
its usually just a worn shaft, worn impeller hole or combo of both..or, as nc nutcase said, an alignment problem, perhaps the shaft is not pushed all the way down into the depression in the bottom of the motor housing.
