I just brought this brand new Eheim Pro 3e 2078

AND

IT DOESN'T FIT into my stand!!! @#%!%&*(!!!! It's too tall!! (I am going to cry now)

I second that...build a bigger stand. This reminds me of a guy who purchased a monster tank only to find out there was no way to get it into his house. Ended up selling it at a crazy loss.

Get a 2260. It's a better filter,and not as tall.

Did you try rotating it clockwise or counterclockwise slightly, then inserting it top-first, then the bottom, then righting it? Or why not just knock the bottom out of that stand?
