If you can't exchange it for a shorter model put it on the floor next to the tank, and build a coffee table around it. Then stick a 10-20 gallon breeder/feeder tank on top of the coffee table for feeding of the big tank.

I hear mosquitofish breed like crazy. You'd be in a constant food supply if they're legal where you're at.
