Stupid Fish Cusomer or Stupid Store Owner

Ok peeps. Lets hear the coupe de gras story about how a customer did something stupid or a store owner told you something that was SO BS you had to wear boots walking thru there store.

I've seen a british bulldog with lipstick, roughe, and a tampon shoved up its butt. Old people suck!

I had a customer come in and wanted to get a pleco for their 10 gallon tank.
So I told them how big they get and showed them an oto catfish instead.
I honestly wish people would do some research instead of getting fish that they know nothing about.

i went to a store and the worker clearly did not know sh** he was telling me that piranha were salt water and his friend breeds aro's in his swimming pool I hate people that think they know what ther talking about

A woman walked into the store and wanted to place 3 bala sharks into a 5 gallon tank. But to be fair, it was her son that was pressuring her to do it.


Sadly, before I got the courage to tell people no , this woman wanted a pleco for her 20 gallon tank. I told her they get really big, and suggested some other smaller fish, but she said that she wanted it because it looked pretty.

I went to my lfs and there was a new guy, I asked him some questions, but he started to ask me questions like he was the costumer and i was the seller

I honestly wish people would do some research instead of getting fish that they know nothing about.

I've found 95% of people by a fish/aquarium as a seasonal thing. It's going to die in three months when the sun comes out so who cares. Research would mean time, and they don't want to spend that.

yeah, its sad that people make themselves out to LOVE animals. All animals that dont involve fish that is. They dress their stupid dogs in halloween costumes, but dont bother getting a big enough tank for their fish. That really pisses me off.

You mentioned before.... People ask how much is a tank going to run them. Quote them the best of everything. usually around 80-100 for a ten.

less work... besides they are going to have to maintain the tank and if they aren't willing to slap down $100 then they probably don't care about the fish. They are looking more for a fish bowl and goldfish! besides as the size goes up... you can show then how the price increases. 55g tanks going to run them about $50 more and they can do a LOT more with that!
