Stupid #$!@# Heater!!!!!

So i just got home after being gone all weekend, and my tank is at 95 degrees... it killed my 10" Jag, and my 5" raphael cat! the only thing it could be is the thermostat in the heater broke. i am so @#$!$ mad!!! what a waste. i just thought i'd share that

On the bright side, you can replace your faulty heater.

We have a heat wave in socal right now so my tanks have no heaters, and they sit at 90 during the day.

If you need to use heaters never use one. Use 2 smaller ones that way if one freaks out chances are the smaller heater will not do too much damage heat wise cause it can't keep up with the water flow.

If it is in your budget try and get a cutoff device that senses temperature highs.
Especially if it gets hot near you.

Yup, this is what I do. Two heaters are much better than one. It may be ugly, but that's a small price to pay.
