Seriously though, there is no way to keep a stray out of a yard. The oly thing you can do is spray them or trap them. Even dogs don't really help. I have seen some pretty brave cats that go into people's yards and avoid the dogs.
My kitten right now LOVES water, but she does not like to be surprised with it. So the motion water sprinkler is a great idea. Too bad I can't install them into my parents' yard. They got problems with free-roaming cats right now, their dog is scared crap of them since he got scratched in the right eye, and he is about the same height as those cat and he love the huge urban backyard he has. So far, only the traps and chasing them with a water hoe are working.
And this stuff about dogs not being able to climb fences? My Shiba Inu could climb chainlink fences and tree branches. We had to take down our fence and put up 8 feet tall wooden fences up and remove the lower branches about 6 feet up the trees just to contain him in our yard. Otherwise he climb them or jump over.
