Do Green terrors / Jack Dempseys have teeth?? how agressive is a terror and jd? if any1 has pics of their teeth id appreciate it.

ive seen a chiclid juveniles at the lfs and they were called "Blue neon chiclids". was that correct or are the store keepers just a bunch of tree huggers who dont know what they are? my question for this is, are there really blue neon chics or are they actually JDs or GTs?? they had alot of green shinyness on them with typical chiclid facial and body appearance.

thanks guys.

oh woops. the "how aggressive" question really meant to say which is more aggressive consistently? (ie. jd's turn out more consistently agressive than gt's)

the questions all for the learning.

oh and no pics cause i didnt take any. i will go back tomorow to do so.

You are in the right place, and I never said that I did not love your questions! That is why I replied so fast. Jd's in my experience can be among the most aggressive of all cichlids. Green terrors are all show, and no go.

Theyre calling cichlids not chiclids. I hope you dont dive into taking care of fish you have little experience with.

Anyway, pics would help. I think I have heard of Neon GTs or something.

true i have no clue about chiclids but ive been taking care of fish for years. lol. they seemed to be easy fish because my pool manager has a 75g infested with 5' breeds of various kinds.

As long as you understand the basics to maintain an aquarium, you can probably take care of some cichlids. But make sure you house them in proper tank size, dont overstock etc.

If your pool manager has some 5 foot long fish, he must be keeping them in the pool and not the tank right? lol j/k:grinno: I bet you meant 5". And why do you keep saying CHIC-lids? I recommend you take some pictures of them and any others your interested in so we can ID them for you. It's a great idea coming here to get some advice on compatibility, max size etc, before buying a bunch of fish and throwing them all in a tank together. Some cichlids are super aggressive killers and some are mild mannered, others are somewhere in between. Some stay very small and some large.
