Endangered Species Act said:

propagation purposes or

for economic hardship situations
involving endangered or threatened species.

This right here is how there has come to be a need for hatchery Salmon in Wa. state
Commercial fisherman were allowed to fish unregulated because of the
economical hardship it would have caused if the wild Salmon were regulated...Stupid thing is the Runs are Shttiy now, and the state bought back the fishing permits at a mad crazy price so there is now only sport salmon fishing in the states coastal waters...

So this act really really needs to be amended...we do need a voice in DC...hell maybe the right dancing girl will get a hold of the right lobbist in DC...do her thing and the Asian Aros will be OURS at last!!! MuHahahahahaha!!

We'll have to...the demand will be greater than the supply, and the prices will be higher yet! :irked:

I remember when Taiwan was first importing them, the locally prices skyrocket so high it was like buying gold...come to think of it, still is hahaha.

A good 4 figures in SG. Good quality fishes. A lot more if it was imported to the states.

1000 dollars.. 5000 dollars.. ?

I wont sell if I win anyway, here they are not so well known.

even though it seems ridiculous there is a reason, stopping the trade in the material and livestock of endangered species. If you look at CITES you can find a reference to captive bred as opposed to wild stock. This is important if you are ever in this situation. An example of this is the Axolotl as we all know its a common amphibian, but did you know that in the wild it is a threatened species. Under CITES that would make it illegal to keep. The best thing to do is to contact your local wildlife officer. It is always better to work with them than against them.
