I believe that Opah are the "most" warm blooded fish. Tuna can't sustain temperature regulation, and concentrate heat to important areas like their eyes for hunting in deep waters. Either way, warm blooded fish is a cool concept. Pretty cool that you are learning all this for/with your daughter!

I read that article about opah (moon fish). Very cool. When I was vacationing in Hawaii we bought some from a local market and grilled it. Very red meat and a delicious beefy/fish flavor. After reading the article it makes sense
