stupit question of the day

i have a new acrylic tank coming! stand is built 8'x4'x2' stand is plenty structural. my question is the styro underneath the tank deal. used for insulation, possible movement of the stand to prevent the bottom from cracking? is this absolutely necessary? i will do it if so but i really think the stand will not have enough movement to crack bottom plus i wanted to paint the top so the bottom of tank has color.

I dont use anything except the top sheet of wood built on the stand- and no problems ever

Styrofoam is more for glass tanks. You don't need it for acrylic.

i think the most important question here is: What colour?! LOL

My 180 glass even sits on ply, as long as the base is flat then never seen the need for styro.
