Sturgeon Growth rate?

How do you tell the difference between sterlet and shovelnose? Or I guess the better question would be how do you identify them?

I've never tried to identify fingerling's from each other so i would probably have to have one of each next to each other to be sure. Shovelnose have a more broad flatter head and the sterlet seems to have a shorter more narrow and turned up nose.
