I had a diamond back sturgeon in my pond no problems getting hold of them in the UK nice looking fish i know of 3 aquatic shops selling them in Essex/London might be a hell of a lot harder in California I know they love to ban a fish there

Same scotty i can get a 12inch for £20 ($40) im gonna get a new one in the spring.
