Substrate and other for a 20 gallon (long perhaps)

Okay, so I was wondering how much Eco complete sand I would need to purchase in order to get roughly 2 1/2 inches of substrate in a 20 gallon long, and what moss would be best to use in order for it to appear as a bed of grass and how should I anchor it, thanks in advance!

A 20 gallon long has the same footprint as a 29 gallon tank. It will require more substrate than a standard 20 gallon tank.

I think I read somewhere that 20lb bag of Eco is good for 2" in a standard 10g

Would a filter rated for 320 gph be too much for a 20, because I don't want too much flow in the tank.

It's highly debatable. Most ppl would say 3x or 4x your volume. Depends on your stock too. Too much flow can make fish stressed and skittish.
