It's not what you asked for, but I no longer have to brush off driftwood and it always looks great. I don't have any plecos.

if you can find a safe product form in your country, consider trying some.
Ghost shrimps, easy to breed, easy to replace.What's more they can be poly food in advance. Or Geos, I found in cartimar again that's in sub-adult stage, P400 each I think dunno might be more, near pet smart.
