Should give you an idea of what the mix your considering will look like. I just wanted to add enough sand to cover up the bare area of the tank and had the otber stuff so figure what the heck
LMAO,thats the right word for it![]()
looks spectacular! That's the exact look I want!
Were these both aquarium sands or was one pool sand? What ratio of white to black did you do? I feel like if I do it myself it will look like this: hahaha

sand looks good both ways, but like how the Light makes it look a nice reddish purple.
Binge , you are definitely right. Want everyone to be able to enjoy all the flora and fauna for generations to come.
Although it would be cool to see a bunch of clown knives or other oddball freshwater just in a pond/lake somewhere.
Zilch , where was this lake lol?
Yeah honey to do ventually turns into "hey....you....do....this"
Nah it will look fine. If you do more black than white it doesnt matter where the white is from. I think the black over takes it. Pool filter sand is cheap and you'll have allot left over that you can use in the future so i would go with that. I hate llain white sand and the pfs has a nice tan to it.
Get a 20- 25lb bag of black sand from petsmart or petco, start with all black. Clean it real good and drain 50% of the tank water...no need to removed the fish. Add all the black then add the pfs (cleaned) a handful at a time and mix it in as you go. That way you can slowly add the white sand with out going over board just stop adding the pfs when your happy with the ratio.
Like the 2nd as well but the peace river gravel is surprisingly nice.
