Gravel because I can't find nice looking black sand

I use sand because it's easier to maintain than gravel, better looking than barebottom, and I don't have to worry about my polys dying from accidentally eating it.

I have been using gravel ever since I started this hobby, around 5 to 6 years. Also, I have been keeping bichirs for around 4 years and I never lost one due to gravel ingestion. *knocks on wood*

But! I am thinking about starting a 29 gallon Geophagus tank with sand. So maybe my vote will change.

I really love sand (black), mainly because of the way it makes a fish looks, when they are lying on it. Hence with stingrays, I also like the fact it makes a fish color show out more.
