Hey all, this question probably comes up a lot but I'm picking up 3 baby jags on the weekend, and just got a new tank. I was thinking white sand would look really cool, but maybe it's too much of a hassle to clean, as I am going to be using a siphon. Whereas gravel would probably be a lot easier in this situation. Correct me if I'm wrong lol. And would the jags maybe even digest the sand? Idk tell me what you guys think. Cheers, Tom

The sand is not that bad when it comes to vacuuming just lift or bend hose and sand will fall back in place. The baby Jags will be fine. :)

Yeah lol buying it second hand off a mate who has been keeping parachromis in it and he's leaving half the water in. He's reliable and experienced lol if you're gonna ask

its all good,,, its just sad to see people pick up fish and a tank on the same day then wonder why they have all these problems

Yeah, I would cycle it but we don't get many of the fish I want in the lfs or for sale very often so when I see one I kinda need to get it, and I've only just starting getting back into the hobby that's why I didn't already have a tank cycling lol
