I had a 14" BGK... but no fish I have now could pick up a golfball size rock...
yea it would suck to clean it, but no more so than what can accumulate under sand. currently I am not gonna do it, but still think about it for next tank. I have 100lbs of PFS in my 90 that will be a cich community when cycled...

We use crushed coral in all of our tanks with no problems at all. The finer grades are small enough not to hurt even the most delicate fish IMO/E

I recently changed from gravel to sand in a couple of my tanks, and let me tell you, i will never do gravel again.

me too, did the 150 and fixin to do the 29 in sand if i ever have time.
