thanks in advance guys

go for sand.. much easier to clean..

would look good with sand substrate.

what brand? only thing that holds me back from getting light colored subtrate is that it makes my rbps lighter and i like the dark look better but i like that sand because its not too light
thanks for posting the pic your tank looks awesome btw :D

don't know the brand, but you can use black sand also, but i think it's alittle pricey.

yea im broke now after buying this tank so i dont have a lot to spend , how many pouds of sand do i need for a 150?

Look into sand from your pool supplier. It will have a larger grain than play sand and won't be as easily drawn into your filter.

Last I bought was $10 a bag at 50 lbs.

I've had pool filter sand, black tahitian moon sand, and black 3m colorquartz sand and I like the pool filter sand the best. The black sands make the fish scrap stand out like a sore thumb so unless you want to clean the bottom every day I would go with pool filter sand. Also, I like the contrast to the black back of my tank. With black sand it was TOO black.
