but thats the thing, how do i no that the other 4 will be converted? i mean i can keep on waiting since its only been 3-4 days, but do i just starve till death? how did u no 1 out of ur 6 it will not be converted?[

True. Yes you just starve them til death. They wont starve. Eventually they will be so hungry that they will have to eat it.

Once dats are larger like 3"+ they wont starve them selfs to death they will break down and eat what food is available to them but when they are smaller then that I have found in most cases they are still to timid and will starve to death.

I would say no more than 4 days depending on the temps your keeping them at but I for one wouldn't risk it. Just wait for them to get a bit bigger than you can try to starve them if you have to. It can take weeks and even months for them to take new food, but if they are mouthing the pellets then that's a step in the right direction. Just soak the pellets in what ever your feeding them now and they will slowly learn to take the new food. Everything in this hobby takes time, don't expect them to take to new food in a few days.

i am so dam close, literally when the pellet sinks to the bottom, 3 of them will peck at it for 1-2 seconds, n i could have swore maybe 1 of them actually swallow. i feed them frozen brine shrimp, so right now im soakin a pellet in the frozen brine shrimp juice, to soften it and to get the brine shrimp smell

It shouldn't take more than a week if most of them are picking at the pellets. Once most of them are picking at the pellets you shouldn't feed them frozen for one day and only give them the pellets. Think of it as eating veggies, you would rather have ice cream but if your starving then you will eat the veggies. Your dats are learning that the pellets are edible.

Don't cave in now. Most people can't get past a week, of either starving or feeding what you want it too eat.

It's hungry enough to try a pellet... Now feed only pellets for another 7 days and I am pretty damn certain it will eat them in the next 7 days.

How big are your tigers?

I cave... fed them frozen brine shrimps until their stomaches almost exploded, they're 1" - 1.5". Fatten them up today, then starve again for another week

Makes sense. Still very small fish. Up to 5 inch, they not that hard to convert.
I'm trying to convert one of my 8 inch ntts. Though couldn't really starve as my 12 inch IT only eats frozen.
So Pellats are fed staple daily and frozen twice a week. I can see the thinbar getting pissed of with only eating twice a week. He's starting to sniff out the pellats. And I've seen him eat some by accident whilst going for prawns. :-)
ve had him for 4 months.
A new 7 inch thinbar I got 4 days ago started eatin pellets after day 2.
