Although I did not try, my female convict and male Red ceibal have successfully spawned. The fry are at one month apx now 10 or so iving in with parents while other 15-17 are living in a smaller grow out tank. The few that live in with parents in large tank are far bigger and more developed. First three pictures are of smaller fry in grow out tank. I call these little guys "Conceivabals".

It's good to the the fry developing. I'm interested in seeing what they look like as adults and if they are fertial. This is very cool so please keep this thread updated ocasionally.

Male red Ceibal , female convict. Hard to tell in these rough pictures, but it is a true Ceibal and convict.
