Wild guppies are less lightly to have diseases than mass produced feeders, I'd feel safer with live feeders in Asia than Market shrimp TBH.

I've set up a feeder tank outside my house, I buy them and keep them in good water which is medicated (very mildly) throughout their short stay in it.
Having said that though I do agree sticks are better and I am at the moment trying to turn my arow on to them, as well as the live river shrimp fry it eats and the live feedders it will eat.
