I've been cut off from getting more fish... but I found a way around it.

Last night I went to the lfs and got a dozen rosies - I'm allowed to get feeders - but... hidden in the bag with the feeders... 1 dwarf puffer and the littlest african leaf fish I've ever seen... Boyfriend looked at the bag... and just saw the feeders. HAHA! I'm GENIUS! He should look more closely next time.

What should I be feeding this little puffer? Bloodworms?

LMFAO! Thats hilarious.

:grinyes: Thats funny.
Why have you been cut off from getting more fish?

So did you get a Leopard Ctenapoma? Is that the leaf fish? I have one, they're so cute.
What are you putting those fish in with?

glad you got the new fishy, another trick is to ask the sales person to write the incorrect price on the bag. i once bought a small wide bar dat for $1

LOL

Yes thats the one I got - and the cashier was evidentally having a bad day so she forgot to charge me for it. She tried to put in the UPC for the rosies, messed it up, and started slamming her fist into the keyboard. Finally got it right. Then messed up with the puffer UPC, and charged me for 12 of those... fixed that and totally forgot about the leaf fish. I'm keeping it with ropes, knives, another larger leaf fish, senegals and killifish. Its small enough to get eaten but it's great at hiding.

And yes, cut off from more fish. And more animals. I have a one bedroom apartment with 2 cats, 1 dog, a 10g, a 20g, and a 30g. We're moving on July 1st so he's trying to cut me off saying "NO MORE TIL WE MOVE!"... haaaa. And I got two angels from walmart last night (went at 4 AM when he was sleeping) and put them in the tank too. Their shipment had just come in so the fish hadn't been exposed to those horrid problems in WalMart tanks.

Wow, sounds like you like to overstock. :naughty:

I hope that little Leapord survives. It would be a shame if he got eaten.

Well my big guys like their food delivered to them - they aren't much for hunting. Actually, the abk sucks at it. You can watch him chase and chase the rosies and he'll take a shot at them and miss by a mile. The senegals are just too lazy, and the ropes love their beefheart too much to worry about the new leopard. The only ones that pose a risk are the 2 killis at the top - the leopard has claimed a malaysia log as its own and keeps to itself. The other one I got 3 weeks ago has tripled in size, so hopefully the baby will too.

It's so sad... my killerfish are so pampered that they know if they wait long enough, I'll "worry" and catch a rosie, squish it, and let it sink... They attack it then, and save their energy. Why hunt when Mama will do the work? LOL!

Since "she who must be obeyed", cut me off I have bought 5 new fish and have a new tank going.   NO MORE FISH!!!! YEAH RIGHT!!!!!
