my question is why is ammonia? should be none. I would do fin level water change and clean your filters with old tank water or treated water. prefer tank water as you can drain the water in a 5g bucket and let it over flow as you can rinse out the filter media and sponges while the tank water keeps it clearing out.and vacuum heavy.
