i bought a sugar glider and it lasted about 12 hours before i had to call and return her... i ended up being allergic to it... and i brought it home tried to interact with her for most the night... started breaking out in hives where ever the nails touched skin..:( so i woke up and called the lady back.. and at first she gave me a hard time but she did offer a 24 hour return/exhange policy... but then said thats only if it dies or is sick... to make a long story short she ended up taking her back and paying me my full refund... i felt bad so i gave her a tip..

i think i also learned how much work they are! even if i wasnt allergic to it i dont think im home enough for it thats why i considered it a impulse buy... but i think i did the right thing....

there are no breeders around here and they are 180 for one or 300 for a pair i ended up getting all cage/toys/glider/pouch for 160 because we talked her down

Suger gliders are so awesome! I have wanted a pair forever, I plan to get a male/female pair when I move out of my parents house.

Too bad you were allergic! Suger gliders are amazing pets, and it is just too bad you didnt get to expierence them fully.

my friend bought a male that was unrelated we were going to breed them.. but they do seem like very cool pets.. its alot of dedication... preparing its food(not like most pets who can live off packaged "pet food") and they have a odor to them.. but i was planning on spending most of my days with it (in bonding pouch around my neck) because thats the best way for them to "bond" lol but oh well i'll put the money towards a fish tank:D

ya, i use to have guinea pigs when i was younger.. they didnt bother me... then i had a rabbit which bothered me ... i had a bird (cockatiel) which only bothered me when the nails got long and made contact with skin and now ive had a dog which i have no problems with (terrier...boston) so for now i am content with my dog and fish since they take up most of my time anyway:D

I have guinea pigs as well and for some reason they don't bother my skin but the rats do. :irked: I've always wanted a sugar glider but I never got one because I don't think I'd make a good sugar glider parent. Their dietary needs seem to be demanding.

the store had this awsome pair i loved to play with. they would sleep in my front pocket.
