Suggest me a Barb

I am looking for barbs to put with stingrays and a payara. I would like them to grow between 6-20" I am looking for something you don't see as often as tinfoil barbs and am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks

try the spanner barb.. beautifully coloured and will fit in ur range..
also the siamese giant barb.. but these get really big and not fit for tanks...

I think tinfoil barb would be the best option for u..

if you can find yellow fin barbs, they are awesome and get huge.

I have two that are 18 inches in a 90 - BUT you may find that your stingray will starve to death with fish like this in the tank.

they eat so fast its doubtful that the ray will get food off the bottom..

ps the catfish in my tank with them swim right up to the top and eat off the surface..

the sinking pellets i put in every day are gone in a flash LOL

Now that you mention it when I had a group of six 6" tinfoil barbs I had to throw in three times the amount of food I'd like to just for my rays to get any at all. Thanks for reminding me I think I am going to try something other than barbs.

how about semaprochilodus taineurius(i think that's spelt right!) they get a good size(12"-14") are gorgeous and come from South America aswell!Their common name is flagtail characin,i have seen them kept with rays many times
